Right To Education - Every child between 6 and 14 has the right to education under this act, which outlines the minimum standards required in elementary schools. In addition, the Act prohibits holding students back from completing their elementary education or requiring them to pass a board examination until they are at the end of their elementary education. Also, students who are school dropouts can receive special training to bring them up to speed with their peers. As per Article 21a of the Indian Constitution, children between 6 and 14 have the right to free and compulsory education. This law, known as Right to Education Act (RTE), was enacted by the Indian Parliament on 4 August 2009. Educated children and young adults are both concurrent issues in the Indian constitution, which means both the centre and states, can legislate on this topic.
